About Ragdolls

Ragdolls are known as the "Gentle Giants" of the cat world, they are the largest breed of domestic cats. They are slow maturing not reaching full size and weight until 3-4 years old. Males will weigh an average of 15-20 pounds while the females are smaller at 10-15 pounds. They have a medium to long coat of soft rabbit-like fur and bushy tails. The coat doesn't tend to mat or shed excessively so they usually require just occasional grooming.

The ragdolls have very docile, laid back personalities, they tend to relax and go limp when picked up, "like a ragdoll". They have a non-aggressive nature, they are a strictly indoor cats due to not having much in the way of defensive instincts. They are people loving and friendly with everyone they meet including other family pets. Some ragdolls can even be taught tricks including how to fetch.

They make great family pets with their sweet, loving dispostions.
